What Authors Want

Date(s):

March 26, 2025

Location:

Virtual

Do you use AI tools to write your papers? Where do you find the best journals to read and publish in? Do you care about open access? Is funder compliance an issue for you? What about archiving your manuscript, is that something you think about? And how should we deal with both genuine mistakes and misconduct, leading to article retractions? How is your research being assessed, and do you think it’s fair? These are the questions we will be exploring, with the aim of gathering diverse perspectives and ensuring that solutions and critical conversations focus on authors’ perspectives and experiences.

Not all authors are the same, so we have invited a wide range of researchers to discuss their perspectives on today’s questions. This will ensure that solutions and critical conversations aren’t just examined by the organizations that make decisions but also focus on and hear the men and women right in the middle.
