On Wednesday we started with a well-attended industry breakout session, One Author Experience, Many Underlying Systems, where Romy Beard and Christian Grubak launched the new author-centric interface.

Later that evening, we hosted an event on Boston’s harbor front. As we shared more about the new features on the platform, our guests relaxed with some wine and delicious canapes.

Thursday was one of our favorite days because we spent quality time with other author experience fans! From APCs to integrations, we had lots of productive meetings discussing how to improve publishing workflows.

On the final day of the conference, Romy took to the stage in the morning preview session and presented a five-minute pitch about the new author interface and more! We really enjoyed seeing the other presentations which ranged from author integrity initiatives to locating citation data in the public sphere.

On Friday afternoon, Colleen Scollans from Clarke & Esposito, Rory Wiliams from Rockefeller University Press and David Haber from the American Society for Microbiology joined our host Romy and got their dancing shoes on for our fun session How Deep Is Your Love for Authors. During the discussion and in between musical breaks, we asked the audience to evaluate their own author experience, and it was fantastic to see how engaged everyone was.

Thank you for stopping by the stand, attending our sessions, and for rocking our awesome totes! We’re looking forward to next year in Baltimore already.

Attendees were also treated to the world premiere of our new video!
